5 St. Paddy’s Day Runs

In Ireland, time is a relative concept. The phrase ‘I’ll be there in a minute’ could actually mean anywhere from almost three minutes to over 11 minutes depending on what county you’re in. If you like your minute to go by faster, why not try one of these St. Patrick’s Day runs:

  1. Big Dog St. Paddy’s 5K, Georgia
Before hitting the bars, hit the streets for this race. Held on March 17, wear your green as you run through Columbus. The Shelby Brothers band will also be there to liven up the party!
  2. Lucky Clover, Oregon
On St. Paddy’s Day choose from three race options—5K Trail, 5K Road, or 10K Trail/Road combined. Post race, raise a pint at the aptly-named The Abbey, a restored church that is part of Claim 52 Brewing.
  3. Leprechaun Loop 8K + Fun Run, North Carolina
Work off any damage done on St. Paddy’s Day by going for an 8K or 1-mile Fun Run on Friday, March 18. Afterwards check out the free Leprechaun Loop Festival held at Summit Coffee Co.’s Basecamp location. Enjoy live music, food, and chances to watch the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
  4. 5th Annual Irish Jig & Jog, Ohio
Cleveland really does rock. This year’s Jig & Jog 5K race supports the River’s Edge Women’s Outreach Center and is hosted by West Park Station. Stay for the post party to enjoy brunch and basketball!
  5. St. Pat’s 14th Annual Get to the Green, South Carolina
Kick-off your Saturday at Columbia’s largest road race! Get to the Green features 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Family Fun Run events in which participants chase rainbows in pursuit of a pot of gold. Tell us in the comments how you celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.
